Terms of Service

The short version: RageKit is a toolkit for modding your own copy of GTA V. Bring your own game files, follow the platforms' rules, and don't abuse the licensing system. Effective August 4, 2026.

1. What RageKit is

RageKit is a desktop application and companion website (ragekit.dev) for creating and editing Grand Theft Auto V modifications — archives, clothing packs, vehicles, audio and metadata — for use with FiveM, alt:V and singleplayer mod loaders. By downloading or using RageKit you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. Your game, your files

• RageKit does not include, bundle or redistribute any Rockstar Games assets, game files or decryption keys. All game data the app works with is read from a copy of GTA V installed on your own machine.
• You must own a legitimate copy of GTA V to use features that read game files.
• You are responsible for complying with the terms of Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, FiveM, alt:V, Steam and any other platform you use RageKit's output with. Modding policies differ per platform and can change; RageKit does not make your mods compliant for you.

3. Not affiliated

RageKit is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, the FiveM project (Cfx.re), alt:V, Stripe or Discord. All trademarks belong to their owners.

4. Your content

Everything you create with RageKit — clothing packs, vehicle resources, liveries, audio packs — is yours. RageKit claims no rights over your output and never uploads your projects or game files anywhere. What you may legally do with content derived from third-party assets (game files, purchased models) is between you and those rights holders.

5. Premium licenses

• Some tools may require a paid license, obtained through an active subscription or issued manually. Subscriptions are billed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages under Stripe's own terms. A subscription renews until you cancel it, which you can do at any time from your account page; cancelling stops future charges and access continues to the end of the paid period.
• A license is personal to you. You may install it on the machines you personally use; you may not share, sell or redistribute license files or refresh tokens.
• Subscription licenses renew automatically while the subscription is active and lapse when it ends. Manually granted licenses expire on their stated date.
• We may revoke licenses obtained or used fraudulently (chargebacks, sharing, circumvention of the licensing system) and may ban accounts that abuse the service.

6. Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to circumvent, forge or tamper with the licensing system.
• Don't abuse, overload or attempt to break into the RageKit servers.
• Don't use RageKit to produce content that is illegal or that infringes the rights of others.

7. No warranty

RageKit is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Modding involves editing binary game files; while the app creates backups for destructive operations where it can (e.g. .bak files before in-place edits), you are responsible for backing up your own projects, mods and game installation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage to your files, game installation, servers or accounts arising from the use of RageKit — including moderation action taken by third-party platforms against mods you deploy.

8. Updates and availability

Features may change between releases, and online services (update checks, license refresh, the patron portal) may be interrupted or discontinued. Licensed features are designed to keep working offline for the validity period of your license file.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the project evolves. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be noted in the app's changelog or on the site. Continuing to use RageKit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
